Zinus Balanced Comfort Signature Memory Foam reviewed

The Balanced Comfort Signature is Zinus’s 12-inch (30 cm) memory foam mattress and the natural step up from the Original Green Tea. It belongs to the new Balanced Comfort range that Zinus is moving its foam beds to, and it is filed under the brand’s Cooling Green Tea collection.

On top sits 2 inches of Mygel gel-infused foam, then 3.5 inches of high-density foam and a 6.5-inch base. That is deeper and denser foam than on the Original, which matters for side sleepers and for anyone over average weight who bottoms out on a 10-inch bed. Zinus rates it 5 out of 10, medium.

The gel layer and a cool-touch knitted jacquard cover are there to take the edge off the heat memory foam traps. They help, but an all-foam mattress will still sleep warmer than one with coils, such as the Core Hybrid at the same price.
