Who makes Zinus mattresses

Zinus is a South Korean company founded in 1979 that grew into one of the biggest sellers of boxed mattresses in the US, mostly through Amazon. In 2022 Hyundai Department Store bought a 30 percent stake from the founder and became the largest shareholder (KED Global, Korea JoongAng Daily). Zinus now presents itself as a member of the Hyundai Department Store Group and says it has 25 million customers (Zinus).

Where you can buy it

Most people meet Zinus on Amazon, where its compressed foam mattresses and bed frames sit near the top of the bestseller lists. The brand also sells directly on Zinus.com, and the trial and shipping terms below apply to orders placed there. Spa Sensations, sold at Walmart, is a separate Zinus line with its own range.

The Green Tea range and its successors

The Green Tea memory foam mattress, with green tea extract in the foam, is the model that made the brand and is still the one most people know. In 2026 the original version is on clearance at Zinus.com and the Balanced Comfort range is taking over: Core and Signature memory foam models, a Core hybrid with pocket coils, and a Luxe tier.

Trial, warranty and shipping

On Zinus.com you get 100 nights to try the mattress and a refund if you return it in good condition with proof of purchase, plus a 10-year limited warranty. Shipping is free to the 48 contiguous states and Washington, DC, with 1 business day to process and 3 to 7 business days to arrive; Alaska and Hawaii are not served, and some states add a mattress recycling fee (Zinus product page, shipping and trial terms). Zinus says its mattresses are fiberglass free. If you buy on Amazon, Amazon’s own return rules apply instead.

Who should buy Zinus

Zinus is the brand to buy when price comes first: a guest room, a kids’ room or a first apartment. The Zinus Original Green Tea Memory Foam is the cheapest way in while its clearance lasts, and the Zinus Balanced Comfort Signature Memory Foam adds 2 inches and a cooler gel top for a little more. Skip Zinus if you want a deep, plush comfort layer or firm edges to sit on; mid-range hybrids from other brands do that better.
