The Nectar Ultra Hybrid is the most expensive mattress Nectar makes and the one with the most cooling features. It stacks 4 inches of memory foam with a phase change sheet on top, then 3 inches of zoned support foam, 8 inches of individually wrapped coils and a 1-inch base foam, all under a cover with cooling fibers. Nectar sells it as a 15-inch (38 cm) mattress, although its own layer list adds up to 16 inches.

Nectar describes it as soft, and we rate it 3 on a 10-point firmness scale, the softest bed in the range. Side sleepers get deep cushioning at the shoulder and hip, and the three-zone foam and the coils keep the spine straighter than the softness suggests. Stomach sleepers should choose a firmer Nectar.

Temperature is where it pulls ahead of the Ultra Memory Foam. Air moves through the coil layer, the phase change material absorbs heat at the surface, and reinforced perimeter coils give a firmer edge for sitting. At that height it needs deep-pocket fitted sheets.

A Queen costs $2,249, the top of the Nectar price ladder. It comes with the same 365-night trial and Forever Warranty as every Nectar, and Nectar states that the foams are CertiPUR-US certified and the mattress is fiberglass-free.

Our verdict

Conclusion
“The Ultra Hybrid is the Nectar to buy if you sleep on your side, run warm and are ready to pay for both. Back and stomach sleepers get better support for far less from the Nectar Premier Hybrid.”
