The Luxe Hybrid is the softest of Nectar’s core mattresses. It stacks 3 inches of memory foam and 2 inches of support foam on 8 inches of individually wrapped coils and a 1-inch base, for a height of 14 inches (36 cm).
Nectar calls the feel medium-soft, and we score it 4 out of 10. You sink into the top layers first, which is exactly what a side sleeper’s shoulder needs, then the coils catch you and add some spring. It is noticeably easier to roll over on than the foam Luxe.
The coil core keeps the thick foam stack from trapping as much heat, so it sleeps cooler than the Luxe Memory Foam. The trade-off is support for heavier stomach and back sleepers: with this much soft foam on top, hips can sink further than ideal.
