SoundAsleep Dream Series Air Mattress reviewed

The Dream Series is SoundAsleep’s main bed. The Queen stands 19 inches (48 cm) high, about the height of a low bed, and has a built-in pump with a single dial that inflates and deflates it. A SureGrip bottom keeps it from sliding across a wood floor, which cheaper air beds often do.

Inside are what SoundAsleep calls ComfortCoil air coils, 40 of them in the Queen and 21 in the Twin, which spread your weight and keep the surface flat. Raised side borders make the edge a little firmer when you sit down, and the flocked top is waterproof. As with every vinyl air bed, firmness is set by inflation and the material stretches over the first uses; SoundAsleep inflates each bed twice at the factory to reduce this.

The sizes follow SoundAsleep’s own measurements rather than mattress standards: Twin 73 by 38 inches, Twin XL 80 by 40.5, Full 76 by 56, Queen 80 by 60, King 84 by 72 and California King XL 88 by 74.

On soundasleepproducts.com the Queen costs $149.95, the Twin $114.95 and the King $174.95, shown as sale prices under higher struck prices. You get 30 days to return it, at your own shipping cost, and a 1-year limited warranty against manufacturing defects.
