The Perfect Sleeper is Serta’s best-known line. This review covers the Perfect Sleeper Innerspring Cascade Ridge Plush sold on serta.com, which stands 12.5 in (32 cm) tall. Its Q4 support system uses what Serta calls 860-density 4-in-1 coils, linked in groups of four to spread your weight, with five zones that are softer under the shoulders and firmer under the hips.
On top sit PillowSoft Aire, a rippled foam that lets air through, a thin wool layer and Serta’s CoolFeel fabric. The plush feel rates about 4 out of 10 and Serta recommends it for side sleepers. Back and stomach sleepers should look at the firm Cascade Canyon or extra firm Cascade Range versions, which Serta sells on separate pages.
Linked coils move together more than individually wrapped ones, so a restless partner is easier to feel. The flip side is a springy, traditional feel and good airflow.
A Queen costs $799 direct from Serta, against $1,199 for the Serta Perfect Sleeper Hybrid. The 100-night trial and a 10-year warranty are included.
