Serta coupons & offers

Serta is one of the oldest mattress names in the United States. According to Wikipedia, the company was founded in 1931 in Illinois as Sleeper, Inc. by 13 mattress manufacturers who licensed the Serta name, and for decades it ran as a cooperative of licensees. Today Serta International is a subsidiary of Serta Simmons Bedding, which consolidated its North American headquarters in Doraville, Georgia, in 2019. Its sister brands are Beautyrest and Tuft & Needle.

What Serta sells now

The range on serta.com is organized by price. The Serta Classic is the budget innerspring, built on what Serta calls an 800-density individually wrapped coil system with three zones for the lower back. Perfect Sleeper, the line most people search for, adds Serta’s Q4 support system of linked 4-in-1 coils and five comfort zones, in innerspring and hybrid versions. iComfort is the memory foam line with graphite-infused foam, and iSeries NXG sits at the top with high-density memory foam and a carbon fiber cooling foam over a zoned coil base.

Store names such as Cobalt Calm or Blue Lagoon Nights are retailer versions of Perfect Sleeper models. They share the line’s construction but are priced and stocked by each store, so the brand site will not list them.

Trial, warranty and delivery

Mattresses bought on serta.com ship free with free returns, White Glove delivery and removal of the old mattress, a 100-night in-home trial and a 10-year limited warranty covering manufacturing and workmanship defects, as listed on the Perfect Sleeper page. Serta asks you to sleep at least 30 days on the mattress before starting a return. Most Perfect Sleeper and Classic models are made in the USA with global components and use CertiPUR-US certified foam.

For most shoppers the Perfect Sleeper Hybrid is the sensible middle of the range. The Classic suits a guest room or a tight budget, and the iSeries NXG is worth its price mainly if you want deep memory foam with a cool-to-the-touch cover and carbon fiber foam that Serta says draws heat away.
