A flippable all-foam mattress with a firm side and an extra-firm side, for stomach and back sleepers who want a flat surface.
The Plank Firm is the Brooklyn Bedding answer to people who find every mattress too soft. It is a 10 in (25 cm) all-foam mattress with two usable sides: a firm side at 7.5 to 9 on the brand scale and an extra-firm side at 9.5 to 10.
The firm side has a quilted top over 2 inches of Supreme Response comfort foam. A 6-inch high-density support foam sits in the middle, and the extra-firm side is a thin quilted layer right on that foam. There are no coils. A GlacioTex cooling cover is a paid option if you sleep warm.
Stomach sleepers are the clearest fit, because a very firm surface keeps the hips from sinking and arching the lower back. Back sleepers who like a flat feel and some heavier sleepers do well on the firm side. Side sleepers will feel too much pressure.
A Queen costs $1,465.33 before the sitewide code. The Plank is assembled in Phoenix, ships free, and comes with a 365-night trial and a limited lifetime warranty.
