The Dream is the first hybrid in Casper’s range. It keeps a breathable foam on top, moves to a zoned memory foam in the middle and rests on a base of foam with individually encased springs. It is 12 inches (30 cm) tall.

The zoning is the part that matters. Casper uses firmer foam under the hips, waist and lower back, with precisely cut channels meant to keep the spine straight. The overall feel is medium, a 5 on our scale, with more spring than The One.

Springs leave more space for air than solid foam, so it sleeps a little cooler than The One, though it is not built for hot sleepers the way the Snow is. A QuickCool cover can be added.

A Queen costs $1,870, which keeps the Dream well below the Max models while giving most of their alignment benefits.

Our verdict

Conclusion
“The Dream is the Casper we would recommend to most people: zoned support and springs at a reasonable price, with a medium feel that works for back, side and combination sleepers. Pick the Snow instead if you overheat at night.”
