The Awara Classic Hybrid is the brand’s core natural mattress. It is 10 inches (25 cm) tall and built from a breathable cover quilted with New Zealand wool, 2 inches of medium-firm organic latex and a core of individually wrapped coils, with two rows of thicker-gauge coils around the edge.

Awara describes it as medium-firm and we rate it 6 out of 10. Latex feels different from memory foam: it gives under pressure but pushes back immediately, so you stay on the surface. Back and combination sleepers will like how easy it is to move around; side sleepers get moderate cushioning.

Temperature is where the Awara stands out. Wool wicks moisture, latex breathes, and the coil core lets air through, so it should sleep cooler than an all-foam bed.

Awara states that its latex is GOLS certified organic and FSC certified and that the mattress is fiberglass-free. A Queen lists at $899, with a 365-night trial and a Forever Warranty. The wool means it is not vegan.

Our verdict

Conclusion
“The Awara Classic is one of the more affordable ways to get certified organic latex and wool in a coil mattress. Choose it if you sleep warm or want a responsive, natural bed, and pick the Awara Premier Hybrid if you need more cushioning.”
