The Layla Memory Foam Mattress is the model that made the brand. It is a 10.5 in all-foam bed with two sleeping sides: one medium-soft, one medium-firm. Both are topped with Layla’s copper-infused memory foam, so whichever side faces up you sleep on the same cooling, pressure-relieving material. We file it at 5 out of 10 overall, around 4 on the soft side and 6 on the firm side.

The copper memory foam is 3.5 lb per cubic foot, denser than the 2 to 3 lb foam in many bed-in-a-box mattresses, and denser foam usually keeps its shape longer. Between the two comfort layers sits a zoned airflow foam with channels cut into it, slightly firmer under your hips, and a polyurethane base.

The soft side is the reason side sleepers rate it so highly: shoulders sink in without the hips dropping too far. Back and stomach sleepers will want the firm side, and heavier stomach sleepers may still find it too soft. Memory foam also slows movement, which helps if your partner is restless, but it never feels as bouncy as a hybrid.

Prices start at $649 for a Twin and $999 for a Queen at list. In late October 2026 Layla had every size $150 off with two free pillows. The lifetime warranty is unusual at this price, and you get a 120-night trial with free shipping and returns.

Our verdict

Conclusion
“We recommend the Layla Memory Foam Mattress to side sleepers and to anyone torn between soft and firm, because flipping it costs nothing. If you need strong edges or bounce, the Layla Hybrid is the better buy.”
