Zinus Original Green Tea Memory Foam reviewed

The Original Green Tea Memory Foam mattress is the bed that made Zinus famous on Amazon. It is a 10-inch (25 cm) all-foam mattress with green tea extract in the top layer and a poly jacquard cover.

The build is three foams: green tea memory foam on top, a transition foam and a thick base foam. Zinus rates it medium firm, and it behaves the way cheap memory foam usually does. It hugs, eases pressure at the shoulders and hips, and keeps a partner’s movement to themselves, but it sleeps warm and you sink in rather than float on top.

Zinus is clearing this version out in favor of the Zinus Balanced Comfort Signature Memory Foam, which is why it sells well below its list price on zinus.com. A Queen lists at $718 and currently sells for $359. The Twin is sold out there.

It fits guest rooms, kids’ rooms and first apartments well. As a main bed for a heavier sleeper or anyone who runs hot, the Zinus Balanced Comfort Signature Memory Foam, 12 inches with a gel top layer, or a hybrid makes more sense.
