Purple RejuvenatePlus reviewed

The RejuvenatePlus sits second in Purple’s Rejuvenate Luxe collection. Under the DreamLayer, a plush top of fine MicroGrid and MicroAir foam, it puts a 3-inch GelFlex Grid, a soft Active Response+ foam and 8-inch coils. It stands 15.5 inches (39 cm) tall.

Compared with the firm base Rejuvenate, the deeper grid and softer foam let shoulders and hips settle further, though not as far as on the RejuvenatePremier. Purple calls the result medium, and we place it at 5 on our 1 to 10 scale. That middle ground suits back sleepers best: the pillow top feels soft on first contact, and the coils stop the lower back from dropping.

The open grid and the coil core keep air moving under the plush top, so it sleeps cooler than its thickness suggests. Like every Rejuvenate model, it is delivered and set up in your room with the packaging taken away, which matters for a Queen that weighs about 208 lb.

The price is hard to justify for most budgets: a Queen lists at $6,599 on purple.com. There is no Twin or Full.
