Dream On Me sells several crib mattresses under the orthopedic name, and this white breathable version is its current foam model. It measures 52 by 28 by 5 inches, weighs 6 pounds and fits standard full-size cribs and toddler beds.

The 5-inch core has two hypoallergenic foam layers that Dream On Me says are CertiPUR-US certified. It is reversible: one side carries a breathable fabric for infants, which the brand says is lab tested for air and water vapor permeability, and the other a reinforced waterproof cover that resists stains and wipes clean. Like the rest of the range it is listed as GREENGUARD Gold certified, BSA verified and made in the USA.

Orthopedic here means firm, not medical. We rate it 8 out of 10, a sound feel for a baby. Foam under a waterproof cover is warm on the toddler side, so the temperature score is middling.
