The Cloud One is the softer twin of Casper’s best-selling The One. It keeps the same 11-inch (28 cm) all-foam recipe, a breathable open-cell top foam over memory foam, but the base foam is cut into pillars (Casper Core+) so the surface gives more under shoulders and hips.

Casper rates the feel medium soft, which we put at 4 on our 1 to 10 scale, two steps below The One. The top foam stays springy, so you sink in without the slow, stuck feeling of dense memory foam, and a firmer foam strip runs along both long edges to make sitting on the side and getting up easier.

There are no coils and no zoning. Side sleepers and lighter back sleepers get the most from it; heavier stomach sleepers can let the hips drop too far, and hot sleepers are better served by the Casper Snow.

A Queen costs $1,324 on casper.com, with the same 100-night trial (returns open after 30 nights) and 10-year limited warranty as the rest of the range.

Our verdict

Conclusion
“We recommend the Cloud One to side sleepers and lighter back sleepers who find The One too firm but still want an all-foam bed. If your lower back needs more help than softness, spend the extra on the Casper Dream, which adds zoning and coils.”
