Background
About Amerisleep
Who makes Amerisleep
Amerisleep was founded in 2010 by Firas Kittaneh, Moe Kittaneh and Joey Holt, and has its headquarters in Scottsdale, Arizona. The company makes its mattresses in the United States from US and imported components; the covers are sewn in Canada. Besides its online store it runs showrooms.
How the AS range works
The numbering is the easiest way into the brand: the lower the number, the firmer the bed. Each model comes as all-foam or as a hybrid with pocketed coils. The foams use Bio-Pur, a memory foam made partly from plant oils, over a HIVE transition layer and a Bio-Core base.
| Model | Height | Amerisleep firmness | Aimed at |
|---|---|---|---|
| AS2 | 12 in | 6, medium-firm | Back and stomach sleepers |
| AS3 | 12 in | 5, medium | Side and combination sleepers |
| AS5 | 14 in | 3, soft | Side and combination sleepers |
Prices, trial and warranty
Amerisleep shows a list price and a sale price on every size. On October 29, 2026 the sale took $500 off each mattress size, which is the price most buyers will actually pay. Shipping is free in the contiguous US, the trial lasts 100 nights and the warranty runs 20 years: the first ten cover replacement for defects, including sagging deeper than 1.5 inches, the rest is prorated. The foams are CertiPUR-US certified and the mattresses are fiberglass-free.
In our test the AS3 is the safest pick of the range for most sleepers. The AS2 suits people who want a firmer surface, and the AS5 is one of the softest mainstream foam mattresses sold online.
