The Helix Midnight Luxe is the upgraded version of the Midnight. It keeps the medium feel, 6 on the Helix scale, but grows to 13.5 in (34 cm) with a pillow top and a zoned coil unit.

Under the TENCEL pillow top cover sits SupremeSupport 4.0 memory foam with a 4 lb density, which holds its shape longer than lighter foams. Cradling and responsive foams follow, then up to 1,000 wrapped coils that are firmer under the lower back. Helix offers two paid add-ons: a CoolForce or GlacioTex cooling layer and an ErgoAlign layer for extra lumbar support.

It suits side sleepers who want a softer, more padded surface than the Midnight and back sleepers who like a plush top with firm lumbar support. Stomach sleepers should still choose a firmer model.

A Queen lists at $2,498.75 on helixsleep.com, against $1,478.75 for the standard Helix Midnight. It ships free in a box and carries a limited lifetime warranty.

Our verdict

Conclusion
“The Midnight Luxe keeps the medium feel of the Midnight but adds a pillow top and zoned coils, which helps side sleepers who want firmer lumbar support. It is the better mattress, though not a cheap upgrade. If the standard Helix Midnight fits your budget and body, it already does most of the job.”
