The Nectar Classic Memory Foam is the entry point to the Nectar range. Under a cooling knit cover sit 1 inch of memory foam, 3 inches of responsive support foam and an 8-inch base foam, for a total height of 12 inches (30 cm). Nectar rates this version firm, and our test places it at 8 on a 10-point firmness scale.

The thin memory foam layer sets the feel. You feel a light, slow contour at the surface and then the support foam pushes back quickly, so your hips stay level with your shoulders. Back and stomach sleepers get a flat, stable surface. Side sleepers, especially lighter ones, will likely miss cushioning at the shoulder.

An all-foam build holds more heat than a hybrid. The cooling cover helps at first touch, but if you sleep hot, the Nectar Classic Hybrid with its coil core is the better pick in this tier.

Where the Classic wins is price and terms. A Queen costs $699 at Nectar’s regular price, and you still get the same 365-night trial and Forever Warranty as the expensive models. The foams are CertiPUR-US certified and the mattress is fiberglass-free, according to Nectar.

Our verdict

Conclusion
“If you sleep on your back or stomach and want a supportive bed without spending much, the Classic is the Nectar to buy. Side sleepers should step up to the Nectar Premier Memory Foam, which doubles the memory foam to 2 inches, or to the Nectar Classic Hybrid.”
