Beautyrest Level One reviewed

Level One is the entry model of Beautyrest’s own range. It uses 875-density pocketed coils, the same count as Level Two, under a layer of ActiveResponse memory foam and a classic quilted cover. What it leaves out is the gel foam quilting and the cool-to-the-touch cover of the next level.

It is sold in medium, firm, plush and a medium pillow top. The firm version shown in Beautyrest’s cutaway rates around 7 out of 10 and fits back and stomach sleepers, while the medium and pillow top suit side or combination sleepers.

Without the cooling cover, Level One sleeps closer to a standard innerspring with a foam layer. That is fine for most people but less pleasant if you run hot. Couples benefit from the wrapped coils, which keep a partner’s movement local.

A Queen starts at $799 in the lowest-priced feel, and the warranty, 100-night trial and White Glove delivery are the same as on Beautyrest Black. That makes it one of the better-served innersprings in this price band.
