Casper's top mattress combines the Snow cooling layers with seven support zones and a contoured memory foam, for hot sleepers with aches.
The Snow Max is the top of Casper’s range: the cooling of the Snow and the seven-zone support of the Dream Max in one 14-inch (36 cm) hybrid. Layer by layer, that means a phase change coated memory foam, a zoned memory foam with graphite bands, a contoured memory foam and a pocketed spring base.
The feel is medium soft, a 4 out of 10 on our scale, with the slow, body-hugging response of memory foam. Shoulders and hips sink in, while the firmer zones keep the lower back from dipping.
Memory foam usually traps heat, which is why the cooling package matters here: the QuickCool cover feels cold to the touch, the coating soaks up heat and the graphite spreads it. Casper sums it up as max cooling, all night.
All of that comes at a price: $3,870 for a Queen. Stomach sleepers will find it too soft.

“The Snow Max is the Casper for hot sleepers who also deal with back, hip or shoulder pain, and it is the only model that solves both. Without the heat problem, the Dream Max gives the same kind of support for less money.”
