The RestorePremier Hybrid is the top model of Purple’s Restore collection. It keeps the 3-inch GelFlex Grid of the RestorePlus but drops the solid comfort foam layer: underneath sit 10-inch CoolFlex coils, each capped with its own pillar of Ultra Comfort foam. The mattress is 13 inches (33 cm) tall.

That build changes how the bed moves under you. Each foam-topped coil gives way on its own, so a shoulder or hip sinks into the deep grid while the coils beside it hold the waist up. Purple describes the feel as soft, and we place it at 3 on our 1 to 10 scale, the softest of the three Restore hybrids. Side and combination sleepers gain the most; stomach sleepers will feel their hips sink too far.

Temperature is the reason most buyers choose it. With no continuous sheet of foam between the grid and the coil core, air has an open path through the mattress, and the cover adds a moisture-wicking finish. Purple says its own 2023 heat-flux testing found the RestorePremier sleeps up to four times cooler than leading competitors.

The drawbacks are price and weight. A Queen lists at $4,399 on purple.com and weighs about 137 lb, and there is no Twin or Full. Mattress Firm sells a version with a cool-to-the-touch cover as the RestorePremier CoolTouch.

Our verdict

Conclusion
“We recommend the RestorePremier to side and combination sleepers who run hot and want a soft bed that still keeps the waist level. If heat is not your problem, the RestorePlus Hybrid gives similar pressure relief for less.”
