The Luxe is the step-up hybrid in Allswell’s range, between the entry 10-inch model and the Euro-top Supreme. It is a pocketed-coil mattress with a quilted top, and you can order it in medium, firm or extra firm. This review covers the medium version.
The layer stack is a 1.25-inch quilted top panel, 2 inches of copper-infused memory foam, 1 inch of high-density support foam and 8-inch encased coils over a thin shock-absorbing base, about 13 inches (33 cm) in all. We rate the medium feel at 5 out of 10: enough give for a side sleeper’s shoulder, enough lift for the hips on your back.
Brooklyn Bedding makes the Luxe, which is designed and assembled in Arizona. The copper foam and a cool-to-the-touch fabric are aimed at heat, and the coil core breathes better than solid foam. The foams carry the CertiPUR-US mark.
A Queen costs $387 at Walmart, with a 10-year limited warranty. The Luxe comes only in Full, Queen and King.
